HUDORA's Biomechanical Protectors: "Good"
HUDORA’s “Biomechanical Protectors” receive the rating “2.5” by “Stiftung Warentest”
By including protectors in the criteria for assessing inline skates in the 2002 tests, “Stiftung Warentest” took into account that safety is an essential factor in inline-skating. If you want to protect yourself against injuries, you must wear protectors!
Six randomly selected protector sets were tested along with inline skates in terms of handling, comfort, durability, wear, and protection against injuries. Each set consisted of one pair of wrist guards, knee and elbow protectors.
The biomechanical wrist protectors were developed by HUDORA in cooperation with leading orthopaedists. They put your wrist in the anatomically most stable position in order to keep the joint from stretching in case of an accident.
Also the knee and elbow guards provide a better protection against injuries than conventional protectors thanks to their anatomically tailored fit. The comfortable padding prevents scuffs and rubbing. The shells allow for a continued gliding on the tarmac surface, so that the kinetic energy can slowly be reduced. Due to their functional and compact shape they are very comfortable to wear. The lining material, CoolMax®, keeps your skin cool and dry.
Guards must fit perfectly. That’s why HUDORA offers the “Biomechanical Protectors” not only as a set in a storage bag, but also individually as wrist guards, knee and elbow protectors. They are available in sizes S, M, and L.
